Multi-Practice Law Firm — Website Design
Five practice verticals and 82 nodes — the largest of fifteen firm sites.
A full digital presence for an established multi-practice firm: five dedicated practice-area subpages, partner profiles, the mission narrative and contact. 82 canvas nodes across desktop and mobile, with two distinct navigation components — a hero navbar and a rest-of-site navbar — plus interactive banner variants and timed hero states. The largest of the fifteen firm websites I designed here. Sole website UI designer; the identity was another designer's and a no-code developer shipped the build.

Sole Website UI Designer for Messias & Almada, an established full-service corporate law firm. Designed 82 responsive canvas nodes on the primary Design page across five distinct legal practice areas (Direito da Saúde, Família & Sucessões, Direito Penal, Direito Civil, Leilão de Imóveis), partner profiles (Equipe / Acompanhamento sócios), mission narrative, and timed Hero states with context-aware navigation bars (NavBar do Hero vs NavBar do restante do site), backed by a 38-node Style Guide specifying legal inputs, custom checkboxes, and interactive banner sets in Figma (file key QbkG2JXoTQZyDKls9SwQo6).
Agency employment at Sagitta delivering from September 13, 2023 to November 21, 2023. Juan acted as sole website UI designer within the agency team: Kelvin Bezerra authored the brand visual identity and logo, Juan designed the complete multi-page responsive legal portal in Figma, and an external no-code developer implemented and published the site on WordPress. Requirements were scoped by Ramon.

Corporate legal websites operate under strict ethical and professional standards (including Brazilian Bar Association / OAB guidelines that prohibit aggressive sales promotions). High-net-worth individuals and corporate counsel evaluating a firm look for specialization depth, academic authority, and clear partner attribution. Messias & Almada required a digital portal capable of presenting five distinct legal practice areas without diluting the firm's cohesive institutional identity.
Five specialized practice verticals across 82 nodes
Rather than collapsing all legal services into a generic bulleted list, I architected standalone practice pages and responsive frames on the Design page (node 1:15):
- Health Law (Direito da Saúde) — Focused on medical litigation, health insurance claim denials, high-cost medication injunctions, and patient advocacy.
- Family & Succession (Família & Sucessões) — Sensitive structuring for estate planning, probate, divorce mediation, and asset distribution.
- Criminal Law (Direito Penal) — Corporate white-collar defense, compliance defense, and habeas corpus representation.
- Civil Litigation (Direito Civil) — Strategic breach of contract, commercial liability, and indemnification disputes.
- Real Estate Auctions (Leilão de Imóveis) — Specialized advisory for judicial and extrajudicial real estate asset acquisition and title regularization.
- Partner Profiles & Team (Equipe) — Individual partner biographies highlighting academic backgrounds, bar admissions, published articles, and direct consultation channels.
- Dual Navigation Architecture — Engineered distinct navigation states: a transparent hero navbar (NavBar do Hero) blending with editorial photography, transitioning to a high-contrast sticky navbar (NavBar do restante do site) on content scrolls.
Juan grades this tier B: the live website at messias.adv.br (HTTP 200 with verified client CNPJ) proves public shipping, but the no-code developer introduced visual deviations during CMS implementation. Cite the live domain as shipping proof; evaluate the Figma file for the true design fidelity.
Style guide and legal interaction tokens
The 38-node Style Guide page (node 1:16) established a high-trust palette balancing deep corporate navy and gold tones, refined serif and sans-serif typography scales, customized legal intake form fields with privacy consent checkboxes, and responsive banner component sets.
What this project is and is not
- Not brand identity or logo design. Kelvin Bezerra authored the Messias & Almada logo and visual identity.
- Not WordPress implementation. A no-code developer was responsible for building and publishing the site on WordPress.
- Not legal counsel or compliance advice. I designed the user interface and content architecture, not the legal content.
- Not user research or discovery. Client requirements were scoped by Ramon.
- Not supported by lead conversion analytics. No consultation requests or client acquisition metrics were retained.
The authority of dedicated practice area design
Messias & Almada illustrates how multi-practice professional firms can project authority across varied disciplines. By creating dedicated practice verticals, dual-state navigation, and partner-centric profiles, the design established a distinguished digital home for a high-stakes law firm.
Evidence
The website was implemented and published to production: messias.adv.br returned an HTTP 200 status with a 92,654-byte payload, including the verified client CNPJ in the footer. Juan grades the live build as Tier B: it proves that the design was shipped publicly, but contains implementation deviations by the no-code developer. The Figma file serves as the definitive design proof. No lead conversion or consultation metrics exist. This case study documents multi-practice legal IA, high-trust typography, and complex practice area navigation.
