Nanotechnology Cosmetics Lab — Institutional & B2B Portal
Scientific clarity paired with premium cosmetic aesthetics, over 13 frames.
An institutional and B2B portal for a green nanotechnology laboratory: the scientific thesis, corporate training programmes, research-team credentials, lead-capture modals and technical articles. I designed 13 responsive frames across desktop and mobile — home, about, in-company and open training, contact and blog templates — with the lead-capture forms and cookie banner. Sole website UI designer; the identity was another designer's and a no-code developer shipped the WordPress build.

Sole website UI designer for a deep-tech green chemistry startup transforming agricultural residues into microfibrillated cellulose for sustainable cosmetics, alongside in-company scientific training programs. Designed 13 high-fidelity responsive frames across desktop and mobile pairing scientific clarity with premium cosmetic aesthetics (Início, Sobre nós with Karla Feu's research credentials, Treinamentos In Company, Treinamentos, Contact, and editorial Blog templates), supported by a 48-node style guide with lead capture modals and cookie banners.
Agency engagement at Sagitta between November 22, 2023 and January 24, 2024. Delivered as sole website UI designer within a three-way team: Kelvin Bezerra authored the brand identity and logo; Juan designed all website, B2B training, and editorial layouts; a no-code developer implemented and published the platform on WordPress.

Nanotechnology and green chemistry startups operate in an unforgiving design intersection: their interfaces must convey academic rigor and peer-reviewed scientific credibility to cosmetic formulation chemists, while presenting the sleek, aspirational luxury demanded by the high-end beauty industry. B. Kemi (Kemi Nanomateriais) specializes in upcycling agricultural waste into microfibrillated cellulose — a sustainable substitute for synthetic polymers in cosmetics.
Scientific storytelling: academic credentials and B2B training
I structured the platform to articulate both scientific discovery and commercial B2B services:
- Nossa Tese & Início — High-contrast narrative explaining microfibrillated cellulose extraction, sustainable circular economy benefits, and performance metrics in cosmetic formulations.
- Founder & Research Credentials (Sobre nós) — Scientific pedigree highlighted through founder Karla Feu's academic background, research publications, and laboratory standards.
- B2B Corporate Training (Treinamentos In Company & Treinamentos) — Commercial offering detailing customized educational programs on green chemistry and sustainable formulations for corporate cosmetic R&D teams.
- Scientific Blog & Editorial Layouts (Blog #14 & Blog) — High-legibility technical article layouts designed for reading academic findings, chemical safety reports, and regulatory updates.
- Lead Capture & Compliance (Style Guide) — 48-node foundation incorporating contact forms, inquiry modals, and LGPD-compliant cookie banners.
Verified historical shipping proof
The website was built and made public on WordPress. Historical proof of shipping is preserved in the Wayback Machine snapshot from September 23, 2024: an intact 164,779-byte build on WordPress 6.6.2 and Elementor bearing the exact section sequence authored in Figma (Treinamentos, Nossos valores, Nossa fundação Karla Feu, and Novidades/Blog). This confirms the design's full transit from Figma into live production.
Designing for deep tech means avoiding generic stock lab beakers. The interface must communicate the molecular innovation clearly enough that an R&D chemist respects it, while looking refined enough for a cosmetics brand executive.
Evidence
Implemented on WordPress and successfully launched into production, verified via historical Wayback Machine snapshots (September 23, 2024, 164 KB on WordPress 6.6.2 and Elementor, faithfully matching the Figma section structure). The client subsequently redesigned the site with another agency. No business metrics exist; this project stands as audited evidence of deep-tech biotechnology portal design and B2B corporate training UI.
